Lyttelton Circus

Theatre Company

Hailing from the creative port town of Lyttelton, New Zealand, the Lyttelton Circus Theatre Company (LCTC) is a home for inventive physical circus theatre.

The LCTC ensemble boasts a symphony of talents, from singers and musicians to actors, aerialists, and acrobats. Their innovative approach crafts a harmonious blend of creativity, resulting in theatre performances that are as daring as they are captivating.

Driven by a passion for inclusivity, the LCTC is on a mission to democratise theatre, making exceptional productions accessible to all. Beyond the limelight, members roll up their sleeves for a range of roles, from admin and art design to crafting sets, costumes, and even handling finances.

The ability for LCTC to put on an electric cabaret is well known as it incorporates roving and interactive performance with highly skilled stagecraft and acrobatic feats, to make for a complete night of entertainment.

While each member has ventured on distinct paths after the loss of their original home theatre, 'The Loons,' they're now converging for an exciting new chapter at the new ‘Lyttelton Arts Factory’ theatre. A collective revival is brewing as they breathe life back into 'Berlin Burlesque'.
